No only is this 1950 Desoto beautiful, but it is cheaper than the motorcycles I’ve been looking at. I’m gong slightly insane too because I don’t know if I can cram a 6 hour round trip to look at it into my week.

The drive isn’t the problem, it is carving out enough time to do it. Weeknights are out as As I wouldn’t get to the guy until 8pm, then back home until midnight at the earliest. And this weekend I have plans both days that I can’t move. I’m going to email them anyway and try and figure it out, but the logistics are awful.

As someone who works in Manhattan, I know those feelz. Idk for $2000 I’d just buy it sight unseen and take care of what ever issues it has.
I’d assume the interior is shot and the brakes need to be rebuilt at the very least.

Unfortunately I have this beast in my yard right now waiting on an engine & transmission swap, front end rebuild & disc brake swap that was supposed to happen 2 months ago until I broke my collar bone. And that doesn’t even mention the welding work needed on the replacement cab that is taking up half my garage.
So I’m not letting myself buy another vehicle until it is functional enough I can put of any major work on it for a year or two.

I’m in the same boat.
I need to strip it down to the frame, clean the frame, rebuild the brakes and rebuild the engine.
No other project cars until this one is done lol.
